Beijing, April 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) Central Committee and State President Tô Lâm visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China on Wednesday as part of his official state visit to China, reaffirming the importance of historical legacy and party-to-party cooperation.

The Vietnamese leader and his high-level delegation were received by Cai Qi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a senior party official.

During the visit, President Lâm toured the museum and received detailed briefings on its exhibitions. He noted that Việt Nam has recently begun construction of the Museum of the Communist Party of Việt Nam in Hà Nội, describing it as a project of profound significance that reflects deep respect for the CPV’s historic legacy.

He emphasized that the future museum will serve as a vital institution for preserving valuable historical documents and artefacts, while also acting as an educational platform for officials, party members, and the broader public—particularly younger generations. The museum will also introduce international audiences to the CPV’s historical role and contributions to global national liberation movements.

According to the Vietnamese leader, the project is progressing with accelerated efforts in document collection, artefact preservation, and exhibition planning, with the aim of completing it on schedule.

In his remarks in the guest book, President Lâm underscored the enduring relationship between Việt Nam and China, describing it as one of “both comrades and brothers.” He reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further strengthening their Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and building a shared future that contributes to regional and global peace, stability, and development.

The Museum of the Communist Party of China stands as a major cultural and historical institution, showcasing the CPC’s development since its founding in 1921. Spanning approximately 147,000 square meters, the museum houses over 2,600 photographs and 4,500 artefacts, including 420 national treasures, offering a comprehensive account of the Party’s century-long history.
