Kazakhstan and Czech Republic Sign Six Key Agreements to Boost Economic Cooperation

Astana, April 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic have signed six memorandums and commercial agreements across key sectors, including aviation, energy, and mechanical engineering, on the sidelines of the Kazakh-Czech Business Forum in Astana.

The agreements reflect growing economic ties between the two countries and aim to expand collaboration in industrial production, defense, and export financing.

Key Agreements Signed

Among the documents concluded during the forum were:

  • A memorandum between KazAviaSpas JSC and Omnipol Defense a.s. focusing on cooperation in aviation and defense sectors.
  • A memorandum on the establishment of the ZVVZ-KZ joint venture between Teplosnab-NS LLP and ZVVZ a.s..
  • A cooperation agreement between United Machinery Resources LLP and Excalibur International, part of the Czechoslovak Group.
  • A memorandum between SP BKM LLP and Excalibur International to enhance industrial collaboration.
  • An agreement between the Kazakhstan Export Credit Agency and EGAP aimed at strengthening export financing and risk insurance mechanisms.
  • A commercial contract between Atlas Asia and Witkowitz for industrial equipment cooperation.

Growing Trade and Investment Ties

The latest agreements come amid steadily expanding economic relations between the two countries. Kazakhstan has attracted approximately $431 million in investments from the Czech Republic, while bilateral trade surpassed $705 million in 2025.

Officials at the forum highlighted that the newly signed deals are expected to further deepen industrial cooperation, support joint ventures, and enhance trade flows between the two economies.

The Kazakh-Czech Business Forum serves as a key platform for strengthening partnerships, with both sides expressing interest in exploring new opportunities in manufacturing, energy, and advanced engineering sectors.
