The Sultanate of Oman is celebrating the annual anniversary of her Sultan, His Majesty, Haitham bin Tarik. The Sultan ascended the crown on Jan.11,2020, and the Omani Nation is celebrating this memorable day with great joy and enthusiasm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, the date on which Sultan assumed the Crown.
At this memorable occasion not only the Omani people are enjoying the public holiday announced by the royal order but the Sultan is also busy in receiving messages of greeting and good wishes from monarchs, leaders of the Arab world and other friendly nations of the globe. The elite class and common citizens of the Country are also paying homage to the services of the Sultan. This occasion is infact the praise, greetings and good wishes from all the Sultan lovers.
At this occasion, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued a special royal pardon for 207 prisoners convicted in various cases.
On Tuesday the Sultan issued instructions to set a time frame for the development of Al Jabal Al Abyad area and the village of Wakan with the premium of providing basic infrastructure and tours areas potential and their tourism landmarks
the village of Wakan is about 160 km from Muscat, the capital of Oman and is the more attractive for the tourists coming from different countries of the globe.
Since the ascending of crown, the Sultan Haitham bin Tarik is fully concentrated at the economic development of the country, and raising the standard of lives of the people of Oman. The all efforts made by Sultan, His Cabinet and the Council of Ministers are in the direction of achieving the defined goals. This is the reason that the council endorsed the “The National policy for Local content (2024-30)” which aims to develop a national system for regulating and monitoring local content in all sectors.
The Sultan emphasized the importance on focusing all the defined targets, specifically generating more employment and job opportunities for the citizens by localized industries and encouraging small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The Sultan also planned to decrease the volume of imports to maintain the countries’ trade balance and save unnecessary flight of national wealth.
To meet the need to promote the culture of local content in the omanian society,the council of Ministers gave green signal to the “National product Loyalty Program.” Which aims to encourage the people of Oman to use omani products for the enhancement and growth of local industries and companies.
The other method to boost the economy of the country, the council of Ministers decided to utilize the diversity of Governorates of Oman, places of natural attraction and historical importance and cultural heritage should be made accessible and attractive to remain open throughout the year. This approach is viable and good to host tourism activities, events and source of attraction for tourists and visitors to such sites.
The Sultanate of Oman has many plans for her public benefits under the dynamic and wise leadership of Sultan. The provision of purified water and world standard food are the top list preferences of the state.
When we recall the achievements of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, it seems the visionary Sultan has done a lot for the flourishing of his nation,his economic policies made the country economical stable, rate of growth of economy, control of inflation, increase in G.D.P and surplus budgets all indicate the bright future of Oman. Political reforms and law of succession is unparalleled.
In my view point the rapidly developing Oman is an example of neutral foreign policy and in most critical situation of the area it is a matter of great praise that the Sultanate of Oman is strictly following the policy of neutrality and is following the all norms of international law. There are many friends of Oman and evidently there is no foe.
This all making Oman to carry on her plans for the development of the Middle Easts’ first spaceport,which is expected to be operational by 2030. This commercial spaceport called Etlaq is designed to host all sizes of launch vehicles in the port town of Daqum. This spaceport aims to launch rockets by 2030.
Hope all development and sustainability of Oman will be a source of more fame and honour for the great Sultan and his country.
