Kuala Lumpur, September 16, 2024 – The Europe Today: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, extended their heartfelt Malaysia Day greetings to all citizens on Monday.
The royal message, shared through Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s official Facebook page, conveyed the couple’s well-wishes and prayers for the nation’s continued protection, blessings, and prosperity.
In their message, Sultan Ibrahim emphasized the importance of unity in Malaysia’s diverse society, highlighting the role of tolerance and mutual respect. “Tolerance and respect for one another, regardless of religion or race, have always been the backbone of our national unity,” said the King. “I consistently emphasize that unity in our multi-racial society is the most meaningful gift to me.”
Malaysia Day, celebrated annually on September 16, marks the historic formation of Malaysia. This year, the national-level celebrations will be held on Monday evening at Padang Merdeka in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
