President Tokayev Arrives in Serbia for Official Visit

Belgrade, November 19, 2024 – The Europe Today: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Belgrade today for an official visit, marking a significant step in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and Serbia. The visit, announced by the press service of Akorda, underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering deeper bilateral relations.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić personally welcomed President Tokayev at the Belgrade Airport, where the Kazakh leader’s plane was escorted by Serbian Air Force fighter jets in a ceremonial display of honor.

The visit’s agenda includes high-level negotiations between the two presidents, focusing on enhancing cooperation across a range of sectors, including politics, trade, economics, transport and logistics, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

Following the discussions, both sides are expected to sign several bilateral agreements aimed at solidifying their partnership and paving the way for expanded collaboration.

In addition to the presidential talks, President Tokayev will meet with Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević to explore further avenues for cooperation between the two nations.

This visit highlights the growing importance of Kazakhstan-Serbia relations and is anticipated to yield substantive outcomes that will benefit both countries.
