Tashkent, November 21, 2024 — The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, during his working visit to Uzbekistan.
The discussions focused on strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, aligned with the agreements reached at the highest level. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration between their respective Prosecutor General’s Offices in critical areas, including combating terrorism, extremism, cybercrime, corruption, and illegal migration.
Specific attention was given to cooperation on the return of criminal assets and leveraging artificial intelligence and digital technologies to modernize law enforcement systems. The leaders also underscored the necessity of establishing a robust dialogue, expanding bilateral contacts, and organizing joint events to further solidify relations between the prosecutorial bodies of Uzbekistan and Russia.
This visit reflects the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership and address shared challenges through coordinated legal and institutional efforts.
