Belarusian President Lukashenko Arrives in Pakistan

Islamabad, November 25, 2024 – The Europe Today: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko arrived in Pakistan on a three-day official visit, underscoring the two nations’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, President Lukashenko received a warm welcome from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who greeted the visiting leader on the tarmac. The ceremonial reception included a formal 21-gun salute, reflecting the significance of the visit.

During his stay, President Lukashenko and Prime Minister Sharif are set to hold talks aimed at expanding cooperation across various sectors. Delegation-level discussions will further explore opportunities for enhancing ties in trade, investment, and technological collaboration. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed, cementing the growing partnership.

Accompanying the Belarusian President is a high-level delegation of 68 members, led by Belarusian Foreign Minister and comprising senior government officials, ministers, and prominent business leaders. This diverse delegation underscores the importance Belarus places on its relationship with Pakistan.

The visit marks a new chapter in the evolving diplomatic and economic collaboration between the two countries, highlighting shared aspirations for mutual growth and development.
