Jakarta, November 26, 2024 – The Europe Today: President Prabowo Subianto summoned key ministers from the Red and White Cabinet to the Presidential Palace on Tuesday for an internal meeting focused on critical social welfare and education matters. The agenda included discussions on the effectiveness of social assistance programs and teachers’ salaries.
Among the attendees were Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, and Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni.
Speaking at the Presidential Palace, Coordinating Minister Muhaimin Iskandar emphasized the importance of ensuring social assistance programs reach their intended beneficiaries. “We will report our work related to the right targets for social assistance,” Iskandar stated.
Minister Abdul Mu’ti outlined the key topics he planned to present, including the commemoration of National Teachers’ Day, updates on the New Student Admissions (PPDB) zoning system, and teachers’ salaries. Mu’ti also announced that President Prabowo had been invited to open the peak event of National Teachers’ Day, scheduled for Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Velodrome in Rawamangun, East Jakarta.
“The president was requested to open the peak event of the Teachers’ Day commemoration on November 28,” Mu’ti remarked. He reiterated the significance of addressing teachers’ salaries as part of the meeting’s discussions.
The internal meeting underscores the administration’s commitment to enhancing social welfare programs and advancing education initiatives as part of its broader agenda to improve the quality of life for all Indonesians.
