Saudi Arabia to Participate in the 55th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos

Riyadh, January 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, will lead a high-level delegation to the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, scheduled from January 20 to 24, 2025.

The Saudi delegation comprises senior officials, including Minister of Commerce Majed Al-Qasabi, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.

The forum, held under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” comes at a critical juncture, addressing key global challenges such as geopolitical conflicts, sluggish global economic growth, technological disruptions, and the need for inclusive energy transition strategies.

During the event, the Saudi delegation will engage with global leaders from governments, private sector organizations, civil society, and academia to address pressing global issues and contribute to shaping a prosperous and sustainable future. The delegation will focus on driving innovation, fostering global dialogue, unlocking human potential, and supporting sustainable transitions.

Saudi Arabia will also share insights from its transformative Vision 2030 agenda, which is fostering economic resilience, productivity, and integration through comprehensive reforms.

The Kingdom’s Ministry of Economy and Planning, which oversees its longstanding partnership with the World Economic Forum, has spearheaded impactful initiatives addressing global challenges.

This year’s forum will bring together representatives from over 100 governments, major international organizations, leading private sector entities, young innovators, and civil society groups to collaborate on solutions for a rapidly evolving world.
