Chinese Business Delegation Visits Kazakhstan to Strengthen Economic and Trade Cooperation

Astana, February 11, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high-level delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs from the financial, energy, infrastructure, and smart equipment sectors began a four-day visit to Kazakhstan on Monday to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two nations, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced.

Led by Ren Hongbin, chairman of CCPIT, the delegation comprises representatives from over 30 leading Chinese enterprises, including CITIC Group, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Sinopec, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and Sinochem Holdings. During the visit, the delegation plans to sign cooperation agreements and advance mutually beneficial partnerships.

Wu Junli, deputy chief economist at PetroChina Company Limited, a CNPC subsidiary, highlighted the strong complementarity of China-Kazakhstan energy cooperation in the oil and gas sector. He noted that CNPC has built long-term and stable partnerships with Kazakh counterparts and expressed optimism about further strengthening these ties.

Zhu Guangmei, deputy general manager of Beijing Tegene Robots Co., Ltd., emphasized the company’s interest in deepening exchanges with logistics enterprises in Kazakhstan and across Central Asia. “We aim to integrate intelligent logistics equipment with local business needs, enhancing efficiency and achieving win-win outcomes,” Zhu stated.

The visit reflects China’s continued commitment to fostering trade and investment ties with Kazakhstan, particularly in strategic sectors, in line with broader regional economic cooperation initiatives.
