Astana, February 12, 2025 – The Europe Today: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kazakhstan, Nauman Bashir Bhatti, in Astana. The meeting, reported by the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Pakistani relations.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of high-level contacts between the two countries last year, noting the continued growth of bilateral ties. Minister Nurtleu emphasized the significance of implementing previously reached agreements, particularly those aimed at further developing cooperation in trade, economic, and transit-transport sectors.
Special attention was given to key areas of collaboration, such as agriculture, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. The role of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical, and Cultural Cooperation was highlighted, with both parties recognizing its contribution to strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
The two diplomats also discussed the schedule for upcoming high-level events, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening the relationship in the coming months.
Ambassador Bhatti reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to work closely with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry to continue expanding the bilateral cooperation. The meeting concluded with an agreement to further enhance joint efforts and broaden the scope of collaboration between the two nations.
