Hanoi, October 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: The Politburo and Secretariat of the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) Central Committee convened a nationwide conference in Hà Nội on Friday to study, disseminate and implement resolutions adopted at the fourth plenum of the 14th CPV Central Committee.
Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm attended the conference and provided guidance, with 2,725,229 delegates participating from 40,074 locations across the country through in-person and online sessions.

The agenda also covered regulations governing Party members’ participation in investment and business activities, a national strategy to attract, utilise and develop talent in key sectors, and an assessment of the country’s 2026 socio-economic performance and state budget, alongside development plans and budget estimates for 2027.
Politburo member and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Trịnh Văn Quyết, who chairs the Party’s Commission for Publicity, delivered remarks conveying the implementation of guidance provided by the Party and State leadership.
