Moscow, October 26, 2026 – The Europe Today: Russian President Vladimir Putin has no immediate plans to hold separate meetings with newly appointed government members, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
Speaking to media on Sunday, Peskov said no such meetings had been scheduled, noting that the Cabinet members were already in regular contact with the Russian president.
“There are no meetings as of yet. Who is new there? There is no one new. Everyone in the Cabinet is someone who is constantly in contact with Putin,” Peskov stated.
He also referred to earlier remarks by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who had emphasised that there was no time for an adaptation period, suggesting that separate introductory meetings were unnecessary in the current circumstances.
Peskov’s comments indicate that the existing channels of communication between Putin and government officials are considered sufficient, with no need for additional meetings at this stage.
