Abu Dhabi, October 9, 2024 – The Europe Today: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the inaugural Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference (Global Rail) 2024 was officially opened today by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of Etihad Rail. The event, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from October 8 to 10, 2024, is hosted by Etihad Rail in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, ADNEC Group, and dmg events.
Attended by ministers and transport leaders from across the globe, including Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, the event is set to foster strategic dialogue on global transport and infrastructure development. His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed toured the exhibition, exploring cutting-edge projects from global companies such as Korea National Railway and Hitachi Rail.
In his remarks, Sheikh Theyab highlighted the UAE’s growing stature as a global hub for international events and underscored the importance of Global Rail in driving innovation, global connectivity, and sustainable development in the transport sector. The event brings together over 1,000 participants, 300 exhibitors, and 50 international delegations, aiming to position the UAE as a leader in global transport and logistics.
