Thai PM Paetongtarn Shinawatra and Husband Declare Combined Wealth of 13.9 Billion Baht

Bangkok, January 4, 2024 – The Europe Today: Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and her husband, Pitaka Suksawat, have a combined wealth of 13.9 billion baht, according to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). Their assets include two houses in London, two land plots in Hokkaido, Japan, and debts amounting to approximately 4.4 billion baht.

The NACC announced the asset and liability declaration on Friday, marking Ms. Paetongtarn’s rise to power as Thailand’s 31st prime minister on Sept 6, 2024, after the Constitutional Court removed Srettha Thavisin from office on Aug 14.

The declaration reveals that the couple’s combined assets total 13.99 billion baht. Ms. Paetongtarn holds 13.84 billion baht in assets, while her husband possesses 141.11 million baht. Additionally, their children hold assets worth 500,000 baht.
