Islamabad, November 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: A suicide bombing targeting the Federal Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Peshawar on Monday morning killed three paramilitary personnel and injured four others, police officials confirmed.
Peshawar Police Chief Mian Saeed said the attack occurred at 8:10 am at the entrance gate of the FC headquarters on Saddar Road—one of the city’s busiest routes—just before rush hour.
“Three FC personnel deployed at the gate were martyred and four others were wounded,” he stated, adding that one attacker detonated his explosives while security forces shot dead two other assailants.
An AFP reporter on the scene observed body parts of the suspected suicide bomber outside the main gate, which had been left riddled with shrapnel.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Chief Zulfiqar Hameed confirmed to AFP that the attack had concluded and a clearance operation was under way to check for any unexploded ordnance. No group has claimed responsibility so far.
PM Sharif Praises Security Forces’ Response
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, praising the security personnel for their “timely action” which he said prevented a larger tragedy.
“The perpetrators of this incident should be identified as soon as possible and brought to justice,” the Prime Minister said, vowing to foil “the evil designs of terrorists who attack Pakistan’s integrity.”
President Zardari Condemns ‘Foreign-Backed’ Terrorism
President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the attack, describing the terrorists as members of “Fitna-e-Khawarij,” according to a statement issued by the Presidency.
Calling the strike a “cowardly act carried out by foreign-backed external terrorists,” President Zardari expressed deep sympathies with the families of the martyred personnel and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
He reaffirmed that “the complete elimination of terrorism perpetrated by foreign-backed terrorist elements is a top priority,” and paid tribute to the “timely and courageous response” of the security forces and police.
Security has been tightened across Peshawar as investigations continue.
