Ulaanbaatar, July 21, 2026 – The Europe Today: The Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan were officially inaugurated in Ulaanbaatar on Monday as part of the state visit of President Emomali Rahmon to Mongolia, highlighting the two countries’ commitment to strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The cultural programme, which runs until July 22, is aimed at deepening cultural ties between Tajikistan and Mongolia, expanding people-to-people exchanges, and showcasing the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
Ahead of the opening ceremony, an exhibition featuring paintings and photographs was unveiled, presenting Tajikistan’s history, civilization, national culture and traditions, customs, achievements since independence, and the country’s scenic landscapes.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tajikistan’s Minister of Culture Matlubakhon Sattoriyon and Mongolia’s Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Zhukovin Aldarjavkhlan, who jointly declared the Cultural Days officially open.
To mark the occasion, a gala concert featuring renowned Tajik artists was presented to residents and visitors of Ulaanbaatar.
The programme included traditional Tajik songs, music and folk dances reflecting the country’s rich artistic heritage. The performances received a warm reception from high-ranking officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Mongolia, and other distinguished guests attending the event.
The Cultural Days are expected to further strengthen bilateral cultural relations and promote greater mutual understanding between the peoples of Tajikistan and Mongolia as the two countries continue to expand cooperation across a range of sectors.
