Eugene, August 8, 2026 – The Europe Today: Moroccan middle-distance runner Osama Er Redouani delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, recording the fastest qualifying time in the men’s 1,500 metres and securing his place in the final.
Er Redouani won his qualifying heat in a personal-best time of 3:42.23, emerging as the overall fastest qualifier for the medal race. His performance further strengthened his position among the leading contenders for the 1,500m title.
The Moroccan athlete’s latest performance marks a significant improvement in his career record. World Athletics lists 3:42.23, achieved on August 6, 2026, as his current personal best in the event.
The World Athletics U20 Championships are being held in Eugene, Oregon, from August 5 to 9, bringing together some of the world’s most promising young athletes.
