Dushanbe, August 19, 2026 — The Europe Today: Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda on Tuesday reviewed construction and development projects in Vose District of the Khatlon Region as part of his working visit to the cities and districts of the Kulob area.
During the visit, the Prime Minister inspected local road construction and rehabilitation projects, social facilities and initiatives implemented by local entrepreneurs and residents, and attended ceremonies marking the commissioning of several new facilities.
The working visit began in the Abdi Avazov rural community, where Rasulzoda reviewed development projects in Gulobod village. A total of nine kilometres of local roads have been asphalted, while eight bridges and four vertical wells have been constructed in the village.
The projects were implemented through the initiatives and contributions of local entrepreneurs and residents as part of the policies of President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon. They are expected to improve rural infrastructure, facilitate transportation for residents and enhance access to water supplies.
During the visit, the Prime Minister was also presented with a project for the construction of a modern sports ground. Officials noted that the facility would help encourage young people and teenagers to engage in sports, provide appropriate conditions for training and promote healthy lifestyles.
Rasulzoda instructed the responsible authorities to ensure that construction work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with modern requirements.
The working visit continued in the Miraliobodi rural community, where a new medical centre was commissioned in Tosqal’a village.
The facility has five rooms and provides employment for 10 people. Built according to a modern design, the medical centre is intended to improve working conditions for healthcare personnel and enhance the quality of medical services available to the local population.
To ensure a reliable electricity supply, the facility has also been equipped with solar panels with a capacity of 6.5 kilowatts.
The Prime Minister also inspected construction work at a preschool institution in Tosqal’a village. The facility is designed to accommodate 150 children and will include seven classrooms, sleeping rooms, teachers’ offices, a library and other necessary facilities.
Relevant officials were instructed to complete construction work on time and to a high standard, use quality construction materials and create appropriate conditions for children’s education and upbringing.
As part of the continued visit, an eight-kilometre local road connecting Tosqal’a and Mirosor villages was fully asphalted and commissioned. The project was implemented through the initiative and contributions of local entrepreneurs and residents, in line with the constructive initiatives promoted by President Emomali Rahmon.
The newly rehabilitated road is expected to improve transportation, facilitate residents’ access to social institutions and services, and create favourable conditions for further socio-economic development in the villages.
In Zardolubog village, another 4.5-kilometre local road was asphalted and commissioned. The new road will improve traffic movement, facilitate travel for residents and strengthen the village’s links with other settlements in the district.
The implementation of such development initiatives in Vose District is contributing to the improvement of local infrastructure, enhancement of social services, creation of new employment opportunities and provision of better living conditions for the population.
