Beijing, March 16, 2024, The Europe Today: China’s automobile export industry witnessed a remarkable surge, with exports soaring by 30.5% year-on-year during the first two months of 2024, according to industry data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
A total of 822,000 vehicles were exported during this period, showcasing the resilience and competitiveness of China’s automotive sector on the global stage. The robust performance was fueled by significant growth across both passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
Exports of passenger vehicles experienced a substantial uptick, jumping by 31.5% year-on-year to reach 686,000 units. This surge underscores China’s prowess in producing high-quality passenger vehicles that cater to diverse international markets.
Meanwhile, exports of commercial vehicles also witnessed a notable increase, totaling 136,000 units and rising by 25.9% compared to the same period last year. This growth signals a growing demand for China’s commercial vehicle offerings, reflecting their reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
In addition to conventional vehicles, China’s export of new-energy vehicles (NEVs) showcased promising growth, with exports reaching 182,000 units during the first two months of 2024. This figure represents a notable increase of 7.5% year-on-year, highlighting the growing global appetite for eco-friendly transportation solutions.
