Russia to Boost Agricultural Development in Donbass and Novorossiya: Putin

Moscow, October 13, 2024 – The Europe Today: President Vladimir Putin has pledged Russia’s commitment to realizing the agricultural potential of Donbass and Novorossiya, while ensuring the restoration of all damaged facilities in these regions. His statement was made in a video address on the occasion of Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers’ Day.

In his address, President Putin expressed special gratitude to agricultural workers in the Zaporozhye, Kherson, and Donbass regions, as well as those in the border regions of Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk. Despite the challenging conditions, these workers have demonstrated immense dedication and effort in maintaining agricultural productivity.

“Such dedication and fortitude deserve the deepest respect. We will continue to prioritize assistance to you,” Putin emphasized, noting the resilience of those working under difficult circumstances.

The Russian president further reiterated the government’s commitment to systematically restore and rebuild everything that has been destroyed or damaged in the region. He also highlighted plans to create conditions for fully realizing the agricultural potential of these historic territories, which have recently reunited with Russia.

This commitment underscores Russia’s focus on revitalizing agricultural industries in these regions, ensuring food security, and fostering long-term economic development.
