Chengdu, December 2, 2024 — The Europe Today: In a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and China have signed an Agreement on Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements, following the directives of the Presidents of both nations.
The agreement, signed during a high-level meeting in Chengdu, outlines a visa-free regime for citizens of both countries, allowing for visa-free entry, exit, or transit for up to 30 days.
According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement is designed to enhance people-to-people connections, facilitate business and tourism, and promote deeper diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two nations.
The visa exemption will come into effect once both countries complete the necessary domestic legal procedures, marking a new era of increased mobility and cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
This landmark development is expected to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges, further solidifying the strategic partnership between the two countries.
