Tehran, January 6, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has received formal invitations from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to visit their respective countries in mid-January. The announcement was made by Mehdi Sanaei, the president’s political advisor, on his X account on Monday.
During the upcoming visits, several agreements aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation are expected to be signed, according to Sanaei. These documents are anticipated to further solidify Iran’s partnerships with Russia and Tajikistan in various strategic sectors.
Before embarking on these international visits, President Pezeshkian is scheduled to host Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani in Tehran over the weekend. The leaders are set to discuss a range of regional and bilateral issues, reaffirming the strong ties between Iran and Iraq.
This marks a continuation of President Pezeshkian’s diplomatic engagements with Iraq, following his visit to Baghdad in late September, where key regional matters were addressed.
The upcoming engagements reflect Iran’s active diplomacy and its focus on strengthening relationships with neighboring and allied nations, contributing to the region’s stability and economic growth.
