Tashkent, August 25, 2026 – The Europe Today: A delegation of Turkmenistan is participating in the international media forum titled “Islamic Civilization: New Perspectives, New Discoveries,” being held from August 24 to 29 in Tashkent and Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Representatives of mass media, scientific institutions and cultural circles from more than 50 countries are attending the international forum, which provides a platform for discussions on contemporary media development and the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
During the plenary sessions, participants exchanged views on the development of the modern media sector, production of historical and documentary content, scholarly research into historical materials, publishing activities and the application of digital technologies.
Particular attention was given to strengthening international cooperation and implementing joint projects in the media sector, while discussions also highlighted the importance of preserving historical memory and promoting cultural heritage through modern mass media and digital platforms.
The forum is scheduled to continue in Samarkand on August 27, where participants will have an opportunity to explore the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation is expected to contribute to further strengthening cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and information spheres, while promoting professional contacts and the exchange of experience among media and cultural professionals from different countries.
