Jakarta, August 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: Indonesian Army and United States Army personnel have completed the 15-day Ksatria Warrior 2026 Joint Training Exercise at the Kodiklatad Training Center in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu District, South Sumatra.
Deputy Assistant VIII/Non-Asian Military Cooperation of the Army Operations Staff Colonel Inf. Medi Hariyo Wibowo, who served as inspector at the closing ceremony, said the exercise demonstrated that mutual respect, mutual benefit and mutual trust between the two countries had been put into practice throughout the training.
He expressed appreciation to all personnel and parties involved in successfully conducting the joint exercise.
Wibowo said Indonesian and US Army soldiers strengthened their professional relationships through mutual learning, coordination and communication during the training.
He expressed hope that the exercise would enhance the soldiers’ combat capabilities while further strengthening military cooperation and broader bilateral relations between Indonesia and the United States.
USARPAC Operations Officer-in-Charge Colonel Richard King said the ability of Indonesian and US troops to coordinate and work effectively as a team reflected the increasingly strong ties between the two countries.
King described the cooperation developed during the exercise as highly valuable and expressed hope that the relationship would continue to advance for the mutual benefit of both countries, particularly in strengthening their respective defence capabilities.
The 15-day exercise featured a range of theoretical, technical, tactical, staff and operational training activities.
The programme included classroom-based theoretical instruction, known as Academic Day; Engineer Capabilities (ENCAP) training through the renovation of SDN 04 Peracak; and Staff Exercise (Staffex) focused on decision-making.
The participating soldiers also conducted Field Training Exercises (FTX) and Live Fire Exercises (LFX).
The exercise was designed to enhance the troops’ technical and tactical capabilities, improve staff proficiency and strengthen operational coordination between the Indonesian and US armies.
