Minsk, October 30, 2024 – The Europe Today: Belarus regards Türkiye as a key partner and steadfast friend, stated Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov during a celebration marking the 101st anniversary of the Turkish Republic’s founding. Speaking at the event, Ryzhenkov underscored the close ties and mutual respect shared between Belarus and Türkiye, noting the alignment between the nations’ leadership in prioritizing the welfare of their people.
“Both Belarus and Turkiye are led by leaders who are deeply committed to the well-being of their citizens,” said Ryzhenkov, adding that Turkiye’s achievements, recognized globally, reflect the strength and constructive role it plays in regional and international matters. “Turkiye holds a prominent place among world nations, engaging in significant regional and global affairs, including efforts towards food security and diplomatic resolutions in conflicts.”
Ryzhenkov also highlighted the joint values of sovereignty and independence shared by Belarus and Turkiye. He stressed that amidst rising global challenges, both countries remain committed to protecting their accomplishments from external pressures.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister emphasized the ongoing Belarus-Türkiye cooperation across various sectors, with active projects and high-level exchanges planned for the future. “We are advancing initiatives to bolster our partnership, signifying our dedication to sustained and constructive collaboration,” he remarked, reinforcing Belarus’ commitment to strengthening ties with Türkiye.
