Nation Celebrates 148th Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with Patriotic Fervour

Islamabad, December 25, 2024 – The Europe Today: The nation is commemorating the 148th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah today with profound enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

The day began with special prayers at mosques across Pakistan, seeking progress, prosperity, and unity for the country. A 21-gun salute in all provincial capitals marked the start of the celebrations, while the national flag was hoisted at major government and private buildings in honour of the Father of the Nation.

An elegant change of guards’ ceremony will take place at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi to pay tribute to his remarkable leadership and sacrifices.

Special ceremonies, seminars, conferences, and cultural events are being held nationwide to highlight Quaid-e-Azam’s life, struggles, and achievements. Educational institutions are organising debates, art competitions, and essay writing contests focusing on his principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

Media outlets are airing special programmes and documentaries throughout the day, shedding light on Jinnah’s pivotal role in Pakistan’s creation, while newspapers have published special supplements celebrating his enduring legacy.

At the Information Service Academy, an exhibition featuring rare photographs and portraits of Quaid-e-Azam was held to educate the younger generation about his monumental struggle. A documentary showcasing his life was also screened at the event.

Various organisations are hosting creative and cultural activities to honour Jinnah’s legacy. The Pakistan National Council of the Arts is conducting a painting and drawing competition, while Lok Virsa is organising an exhibition of artisans-at-work, followed by a Milli Naghmas Show featuring patriotic songs.

Additionally, citizens will participate in the Quaid Day Safari Cycling Rally in Islamabad, promoting unity and collective celebration.
