Beijing, March 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Zhejiang Lions announced on Friday that their star guard, Sun Minghui, will miss the remainder of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season due to a fractured right heel bone.
The 28-year-old sustained the injury during Zhejiang’s 98-100 loss to Shanxi Loongs on March 5. He landed on a teammate’s foot, causing his right foot to twist outward. Subsequent medical examinations confirmed a calcaneus fracture, requiring at least four weeks of recovery.
The Lions, currently leading the standings with a 31-5 record, will now face increased pressure to maintain their position without their floor general. This season, Sun Minghui has been a key player, averaging 14.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game.
