Tashkent, April 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will undertake an official visit to the historic city of Samarkand on April 23–24.
The agenda of the upcoming high-level talks includes the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, with a particular focus on expanding multifaceted cooperation across key sectors. Discussions will cover political dialogue, interparliamentary relations, trade and economic collaboration, transport and communications, as well as cultural and humanitarian engagement.
The two sides are also expected to exchange views on pressing regional and international developments of mutual concern.
The visit underscores the growing bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries and reflects their shared commitment to deepening cooperation for regional stability and sustainable development.
