President Pezeshkian Warns Israeli Crimes Threaten Regional Peace in Call with UAE Leader

Tehran, June 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a stark warning that the continuation of Israeli aggression threatens the prospects for lasting peace and security in the region, citing the regime’s repeated violations of internationally accepted norms.

During a phone conversation on Tuesday with President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, President Pezeshkian strongly condemned what he described as Israel’s disregard for international regulations and its destabilizing actions across the region.

President Pezeshkian reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering unity and solidarity—both within Iran and in its diplomatic engagements with foreign nations. He emphasized that Iran’s approach is rooted in peace and dialogue.

Referring to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, President Pezeshkian alleged that Israel aimed to derail Iran’s peace efforts by orchestrating acts of violence on Iranian soil. He also denounced the recent wave of Israeli aggression, stating that it coincided with Iran’s diplomatic efforts to assure the international community of the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.

“These attacks are a deliberate attempt to undermine our negotiations with the United States and to cast doubt on our transparent and peaceful intentions,” he said.

For his part, President Mohamed bin Zayed expressed the United Arab Emirates’ solidarity with the government and people of Iran. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to supporting regional de-escalation and restoring stability and security through extensive diplomatic engagement.

The two leaders agreed on the necessity of continued dialogue to avert further escalation and to work collectively toward a more peaceful Middle East.
