Tehran, June 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: Colonel Iman Tajik, spokesperson for Operation True Promise 3, stated on Wednesday that Iran’s missile strikes conducted overnight had demonstrated the country’s “complete dominance” over the skies of the occupied Palestinian territories.
The operation, carried out by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, marked the 11th wave of missile strikes under the latest phase of Operation True Promise. It involved the use of first-generation Fattah missiles, which Colonel Tajik claimed successfully breached Israel’s missile defense systems.
“The powerful Fattah missiles penetrated the Israeli Iron Dome system, shaking shelters and delivering a message of strength to Tel Aviv and its warmongering allies,” Tajik said. He further asserted that the strikes left residents of the targeted areas “defenseless,” underlining what he described as Iran’s full control over the airspace.
According to Iranian officials, the strikes were in response to an Israeli attack on Iranian soil on June 13, during which residential buildings were hit, resulting in the deaths of civilians and senior military officials. Tehran has framed the retaliation as a proportionate and strategic response to what it considers an unprovoked act of aggression.
Footage circulating online purportedly from within the affected areas of the occupied territories showed impact sites, fires, and instances of malfunctioning Israeli missile defense systems. Civilian videos captured panic and destruction in some locations, particularly Tel Aviv, as emergency services responded to the aftermath.
The IRGC also noted that the strikes were intended not only as a direct response to Israel but also as a clear signal to the United States, which Iran accuses of supporting Israeli military actions.
Tensions in the region remain high as both sides continue to exchange threats, with the broader international community closely monitoring the developments.
