Baku, September 02, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan will continue to uphold a principled and consistent stance grounded in international law to strengthen peace and stability in the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said in a statement on Monday.
The ministry underscored that the recent decision adopted at the international level not only acknowledges Azerbaijan’s restoration of its sovereign control and territorial integrity over formerly occupied territories—effectively bringing an end to the Armenia–Azerbaijan conflict—but also supports the peace agenda put forward by Baku.
According to the statement, the decision represents “an important step towards the practical implementation of the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the normalization process at the Washington, D.C. meeting on 8 August 2025.”
The ministry reaffirmed that Azerbaijan remains committed to advancing dialogue and building lasting peace across the region.
