Baku, September 15, 2025 — The Europe Today: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev underlined the scale of ongoing reconstruction efforts in Karabakh and East Zangezur, describing the entire region as a “construction site.” He made the remarks during a meeting with residents of the Badara, Dashbulag, Seyidbeyli, and Shushakand villages in the Khojaly district.
“The restoration, construction of these beautiful homes, the creation of all infrastructure in a short period of time show our strength and intentions,” President Aliyev stated, noting that the large-scale redevelopment reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to revitalizing the liberated territories.
The head of state further emphasized that citizens remain the central focus of all government policies. “The key point is that the citizens of Azerbaijan are at the center of all our political steps,” he affirmed.
The reconstruction program in Karabakh and East Zangezur includes new housing, modern infrastructure, and public facilities, aimed at facilitating the return of displaced residents and ensuring sustainable development in the region.
