Baku, November 21, 2025 – The Europe Today: The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation Media Forum, under the theme “Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation and Regional Solidarity,” officially commenced in Baku, bringing together heads of media institutions, leading media organizations from D-8 member states, high-ranking representatives, and distinguished experts in the field.
Hikmat Hajiyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered President Ilham Aliyev’s address to the Forum participants.
The event features two panel sessions focusing on “Responsible Journalism and Digital Innovation” and “Strategic Communication and Crisis Management.” Additionally, a workshop titled “Media Ethics in a Digitalising World: Technologies, Trends and Narratives” is being held to address the evolving challenges of the modern media landscape.
The Forum is attended by nearly 150 delegates, including 71 foreign representatives from the eight D-8 member countries and officials from the D-8 Secretariat, highlighting the importance of media collaboration and the exchange of best practices within the organization.
The Forum aims to foster dialogue, enhance cooperation among media stakeholders, and promote regional solidarity in addressing contemporary challenges in journalism and communication.
