Dushanbe, August 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, together with Chairman of the National Assembly of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, remotely inaugurated seven additional educational facilities on August 28 following the opening of Secondary School No. 20 in the capital.
The commissioning of the new educational facilities is expected to create improved conditions for providing the younger generation with education in line with modern requirements.
Among the newly opened institutions is the private preschool Nuri Millat, located on Jabbor Rasulov Street and constructed in a national architectural style. The facility has a capacity of 200 children and includes equipped classrooms, sleeping rooms, an assembly hall, a kitchen and other auxiliary facilities.
The private preschool Nuri Istiqlol, located on Asadullo Ghulomov Street in Dushanbe’s Sino District, has also been equipped with modern educational and childcare facilities. It comprises 12 classrooms, 12 sleeping rooms and an exercise and training hall and is designed to accommodate 180 children. Twelve qualified caregivers have been provided with permanent employment at the institution.
The private preschool Nasli Istiqlol, built on Karamov Street in the capital, has been designed for 50 children. It includes facilities for educational activities, games, music, sleeping and dining, while instruction is conducted in Tajik, Russian and English. Three highly qualified caregivers and a total of 15 local residents have been provided with employment at the facility.
The private preschool Umеди Vatan, located in Ismoili Somoni District, was established inside a residential building with the support of domestic entrepreneurs. The facility can accommodate 100 children and has created 16 permanent jobs since beginning operations.
Another newly commissioned facility, the private preschool Kayhon, is located in Sino District and was constructed with the support of domestic entrepreneur Nigina Amirkhonзода. It has the capacity to accommodate 160 children and employs 15 teachers and caregivers. The institution provides appropriate conditions for educational activities, developmental games, recreation and leisure.
The private preschool Shabo, located on Navbahor-2 Street in Sino District, has been built to provide modern preschool education facilities for 140 children. The project was implemented by domestic entrepreneur Behruz Iskandarov and has created 20 new jobs.
The newly established preschools were constructed in line with the Leader of the Nation’s directive calling for the mandatory establishment of kindergartens in neighbourhoods with more than 100 households. Their opening is expected to contribute to the effective implementation of the Programme for the Development of Preschool Education and Upbringing in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030.
The inauguration of the six preschool institutions has created capacity for 830 children to receive preschool education and provided employment opportunities for 150 people.
On the same day, President Emomali Rahmon and Mayor Rustam Emomali also remotely inaugurated the private Abdukarim Qodirov Lyceum, reflecting the Government’s continued attention to the development of education and science.
The lyceum, located in Dushanbe’s Shohmansur District, was constructed by Yakut-2000 LLC and is designed to accommodate 840 students in a single shift. A total of 60 teachers will be engaged in educating and training students at the institution.
Following the opening of the six new preschools in Dushanbe, the total number of kindergartens in the capital has increased to 180, while preschool enrolment has risen from 36,163 to nearly 37,000 children.
