Ashgabat, September 8, 2026 – The Europe Today: A poem titled “The Pride of the Turkmen,” authored by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has been published in Turkmen state media, highlighting the country’s horses as a cherished symbol of national pride and cultural heritage.
The poem portrays the horse as a value deeply intertwined with the history, spiritual traditions and national identity of the Turkmen people. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov describes the horse as both a “purpose” and a “wing,” presenting it as a symbol of the Turkmen people’s aspiration for perfection, progress and development.
