Ashgabat, July 29, 2024, The Europe Today: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with Bernd Heinze, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan, following the presentation of his credentials.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, Minister Meredov congratulated Ambassador Heinze on his appointment and assured him of Turkmenistan’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for his diplomatic mission. The meeting underscored the successful cooperation between the two nations across political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and social spheres. Both parties highlighted the importance of furthering cultural and educational ties.
A significant portion of the discussion focused on enhancing the trade and economic partnership, with particular emphasis on the collaboration with the Eastern Committee of German Economy. Both Turkmenistan and Germany expressed their readiness to continue strengthening bilateral relations through the Central Asia-Germany dialogue framework.
