Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan Strengthen Humanitarian Ties Through Healthcare Cooperation

Ashgabat, March 29, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmen-Kazakh relations, rooted in strong bonds of friendship, brotherhood, and good neighborliness, continue to expand across various sectors, including healthcare. This was highlighted by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Health, Akmaral Alnazarova, during a meeting with Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, according to TDH reports.

Minister Alnazarova emphasized the significant role played by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation in fostering humanitarian connections both within the region and globally. The Foundation regularly allocates resources for surgical operations and medical treatment for children in need, particularly those raised in orphanages, specialized schools, and boarding institutions across Turkmenistan. Additionally, it provides financial support for the procurement of essential medical supplies.

“The dispatch of humanitarian aid to various countries worldwide exemplifies the Foundation’s crucial contribution to strengthening international friendship and cooperation,” the agency noted in a statement.

During the discussions, both Vice President Atabayeva and Minister Alnazarova reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector. They expressed confidence in the continued success of joint initiatives aimed at enhancing medical support and humanitarian assistance, further solidifying the enduring partnership between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
