Islamabad, May 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: As part of its ongoing Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos (Iron Wall), Pakistan has reportedly conducted a large-scale and coordinated cyber attack targeting several high-profile Indian websites and government-linked platforms, according to security sources.
One of the primary targets was the official website of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alongside other critical entities such as the Crime Research Investigation Agency, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL), Bharat Earth Movers Limited, and the All India Naval Technical Supervisory Staff Association.
Sources indicate that significant volumes of data were erased from these platforms, while sensitive information was leaked from key Indian institutions, including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the Border Security Force (BSF), and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
The reported breach is also believed to have penetrated into the databases of the Indian Air Force and the Maharashtra Election Commission, highlighting the operation’s strategic depth and reach.
In a notable extension of the operation, hackers allegedly gained control of more than 2,500 surveillance cameras across India, further demonstrating the sophistication and scale of the cyber offensive.
Pakistani authorities have not issued an official statement on the matter. Indian officials have also yet to publicly respond to the reported breach. The development is expected to raise serious cybersecurity and diplomatic concerns in the region.
