Jakarta, June 9, 2026 – The Europe Today: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday received credentials from nine newly appointed foreign ambassadors during an official ceremony held at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to international cooperation and its long-standing non-aligned foreign policy.

“As is customary, each ambassador presented their credentials, followed by an informal meeting,” Oegroseno told reporters after the event.

During the meetings, President Prabowo welcomed the ambassadors as they commenced their diplomatic assignments in Indonesia and underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations. He also reiterated Indonesia’s free and active foreign policy, emphasizing the need for constructive international engagement and cooperation across multiple sectors to promote greater global equity.

According to Oegroseno, the president highlighted the importance of partnership-building and collaborative efforts among nations in addressing contemporary global challenges and advancing shared prosperity.

The ambassadors who presented their credentials included Manuel Estuardo Roldan Barillas of Guatemala, Sultan bin Mubarak Saad Al-Dosari of Qatar, Abdirashid Salat Abdile of Kenya, Ratu Isoa Delamisi Tikoca of Fiji, Redouane Houssaini of Morocco, Maria Gabriela Vieira Soares de Albergaria of Portugal, Bernardo Brea Rodriguez of Panama, Hong Kwang Il of North Korea, and Antonio Rodrigues Jose of Mozambique.
