Beijing, June 03, 2024, The Europe Today: Chen Wenqing, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, met with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Monday in Beijing.
During the meeting, Chen highlighted the recent new consensuses reached by the leaders of China and Türkiye on deepening strategic cooperation. He emphasized that these agreements have laid out a new blueprint for the long-term development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Chen reiterated China’s commitment to working with Türkiye, guided by the significant consensus of their leaders, to elevate cooperation in the security field to new heights. He expressed China’s intent to enrich and expand the connotations of bilateral ties further, enhance the protection of security interests for both nations, support the strategic alignment of their developmental goals, and contribute actively to the peace and development of both countries, the region, and the world.
Foreign Minister Fidan expressed Türkiye’s willingness to continue promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of security, reinforcing the mutual commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between China and Türkiye.
