Ankara, February 21, 2025 – The Europe Today: Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications has announced the publication of a new book titled “Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Peace Diplomacy: The Case of Syria,” which explores Türkiye’s diplomatic initiatives throughout the 13-year-long Syrian crisis. The book, available in Turkish, Arabic, and English, examines Türkiye’s role in advocating for peace, justice, and stability under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s leadership.
Communications Director Fahrettin Altun shared the announcement on social media platform X, underscoring Türkiye’s unwavering commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity, political unity, and the right of the Syrian people to self-determination. He reiterated that Türkiye has consistently supported truth and justice in response to the humanitarian crisis in Syria, adopting a human-centered approach by providing refuge to millions of Syrians while countering terrorist threats and external interventions undermining Syria’s sovereignty.
The book highlights Türkiye’s diplomatic efforts in addressing the conflict, emphasizing its call for a resolution based on peace, justice, and freedom, guided by the principle that “Syria belongs to the Syrians.” It provides an in-depth analysis of Türkiye’s role in regional diplomacy, including mediation efforts, humanitarian assistance, and negotiations with key stakeholders to achieve stability in Syria.
