Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Issues Statement on Outcomes of Abu Dhabi Meeting Between President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan

Baku, July 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued an official statement outlining the outcomes of a high-level meeting between President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on July 10, 2025.

According to the statement, the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to the Azerbaijan-Armenia inter-state normalization agenda. Both sides reaffirmed that bilateral negotiations remain the most effective framework for resolving all matters related to the normalization process. In this context, it was agreed to continue the dialogue in a result-oriented manner.

President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan also reviewed progress in the border delimitation process and instructed their respective state commissions to proceed with practical work in this regard.

In a further step toward improving bilateral relations, the parties agreed to pursue confidence-building measures and intensify efforts to advance the normalization process through direct dialogue.

Both leaders extended their gratitude to His Highness President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates for his warm hospitality and for facilitating the bilateral engagement.

This meeting represents another important development in the ongoing efforts to establish lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
