Astana, August 26, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to China from August 30 to September 3 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Akorda press service announced.
As part of the visit, the two leaders will hold high-level talks to discuss prospects for strengthening the Kazakhstan–China comprehensive and eternal strategic partnership.
On August 31 – September 1, President Tokayev will participate in the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) as well as the “SCO Plus” Meeting in Tianjin.
On September 2, the Kazakh Head of State is scheduled to address the Kazakhstan–China Business Council and hold bilateral meetings with the heads of major Chinese companies to deepen economic and investment cooperation.
On September 3, President Tokayev will attend solemn events in China commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II, where he will participate as a guest of honor.
