Baku, September 11, 2025 — The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday attended the inauguration of the Samad Vurgun Creativity House of the Writers’ Union in Baku.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov briefed the head of state on the modern facilities established at the complex, located in the Shuvalan settlement of the Khazar district. Covering nearly 3 hectares, the Creativity House is designed to serve as a hub for cultural and literary activities.
The facility consists of 43 rooms of both “suite” and “standard” types, along with a 174-seat conference hall equipped to host creative evenings, meetings with writers, and various cultural events.
In addition, the complex houses a cinema, library, indoor and outdoor restaurants, a café, and a fitness area. For recreation, football and tennis courts as well as children’s playgrounds have also been developed.
The inauguration of the Creativity House marks another step in promoting Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and supporting the country’s literary community.
