Ashgabat, November 08, 2025 – The Europe Today: National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chaired a meeting of the State Organizing Committee to review preparations for the upcoming celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The meeting, attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers and senior government officials, focused on a broad range of organizational and logistical matters related to the upcoming national and international events.
According to reports, comprehensive measures are being implemented in cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions to ensure the proper organization of Neutrality Day, one of the most significant dates on Turkmenistan’s national calendar. Officials presented updates on the development of the celebration program and associated activities.
A series of large-scale cultural and public events are planned to mark the milestone, with special attention being paid to ensuring high-quality services and hospitality for guests in accordance with Turkmen national traditions. Efforts are also underway to promote the celebrations on the international stage, and to form a volunteer group of outstanding young teachers and active university students to assist during the festivities.
Particular emphasis is being placed on ensuring high-quality communications and internet access for international participants and guests attending the events.
Summarizing the discussions, the National Leader underscored the importance of a comprehensive and well-coordinated approach to organizing the celebrations. He highlighted that all planned events should reflect Turkmenistan’s peace-loving foreign policy and contribute to strengthening the country’s image as a center of peace, neutrality, and cooperation.
Berdimuhamedov also emphasized the need to take additional measures to beautify Ashgabat ahead of the celebrations, ensuring that the capital city is fully prepared for the national holiday.
Following the meeting, the Hero-Arkadag visited the International Reception Center in a picturesque part of Ashgabat, where all necessary conditions have been created to host high-level foreign guests in line with Turkmen hospitality traditions. He noted the importance of maintaining a coordinated approach to the organization of major international events marking national milestones.
He further emphasized that the celebrations should leave foreign guests with lasting and positive impressions of Turkmenistan and its people, and issued specific instructions to relevant officials to that effect.
As part of his inspection, Berdimuhamedov also visited the Arkadag Hotel, which has been equipped with all facilities necessary to accommodate senior guests and representatives of international organizations.
Before departing the site, the National Leader of the Turkmen People extended his best wishes for success to all those engaged in preparations, expressing confidence that the upcoming international events would be held at the highest organizational level, reflecting Turkmenistan’s enduring commitment to neutrality, peace, and global cooperation.
