Madinah Al-Munawwarah, April 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid his respects at the sacred Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) and offered special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for global peace and harmony.
The prime minister, who arrived in Madinah from Jeddah along with his delegation, was received by the Governor of the region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
During his visit, the premier also offered prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi, seeking unity, stability, and prosperity for the Muslim world. The Saudi authorities facilitated the opening of the doors of Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) for the prime minister and his delegation, where he paid his respects.
The visit forms part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s ongoing three-nation tour. Following the conclusion of his engagements in Saudi Arabia, he is scheduled to proceed to Doha for the second leg of the visit.
In Doha, the prime minister is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to discuss avenues of enhanced cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.
