Islamabad, August 04, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, on August 3 received Ambassador-designate of the Italian Republic to Pakistan, Ugo Ciarlatani, for talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation within the diplomatic community in Islamabad.
At the outset of the meeting, Ambassador Movlamov warmly congratulated the Italian diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his new diplomatic assignment in Pakistan.
The two ambassadors reviewed the current state of Turkmenistan–Italy relations and exchanged views on prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation across a range of areas of mutual interest. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening ties and fostering closer collaboration between the two countries.
The discussions also covered issues related to the activities of the diplomatic corps in Islamabad, including coordination among diplomatic missions and engagement with Pakistan’s government institutions and business community.
Concluding the meeting, both ambassadors reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and constructive engagement within the diplomatic community. They expressed their readiness to deepen professional cooperation and contribute to the continued development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Italy.
