Kuala Lumpur, May 18, 2024, The Europe Today: Vietnamese athletes have arrived in Malaysia to compete in the International Sepaktakraw Federation World Cup, held from May 18 to 26 at the Titiwangsa Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. The event features participation from 21 countries.
Việt Nam will compete in the Premier Division, which includes 12 teams, while nine teams will contend in Division One. In the double event, Vietnam is placed in Group B alongside China and India. In the regu category, which involves teams of three players, Vietnam will face formidable opponents Thailand and Indonesia.
At the previous World Cup, Thailand dominated the competition, securing four gold medals in both the men’s and women’s categories. Vietnam achieved notable success as well, winning two silver medals in the women’s events. The Vietnamese team is hopeful for a strong performance in this year’s tournament.
