Ashgabat, June 22, 2026 – The Europe Today: Officials from Turkmenistan’s energy sector have held meetings in Ashgabat with representatives of leading international engineering, consulting, and service companies to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, according to Turkmen state media reported on Saturday.
The discussions brought together members of the government of Serdar Berdimuhamedov and senior executives from major state-owned energy and chemical enterprises, including the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR). Delegations from Southeast Asia and several global energy firms also participated in the talks.
Participants reviewed the progress of ongoing joint projects and examined prospects for introducing advanced technologies in hydrocarbon production, processing, and energy infrastructure development.
Particular emphasis was placed on the modernization of the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries and the further expansion of Turkmenistan’s gas-chemical sector, which officials described as a key priority for industrial development.
At the conclusion of the meetings, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, expanding investment opportunities, and building long-term strategic partnerships in the energy sector.
